February 7th

I finished painting the kitchen tonight! It is very green... but it is growingon me. I also changed out all the hardware on the cabinets from the yucky gold rusting looking things they had to these cute brushed nickel ones.

February 6th

Both Jeff and I had the day off. Jeff got the garage clean! I can actually open the door of my car. I started painting the kitchen since as previouly blogged Jeff put up the beadboard. Also the cable guy was here for like 5 hours trying to fix the TVs - he was hillarious and kept telling Jeff and I these wacky stories. If you thought Jeff talked a lot you should meet this guy. I bet he could have finished the job in 2 or 3 hours if he wasnt so chatty!

February 5th

Ahh Friday... Kayla and I went to story time at the library on N. Oak. She colored a frog this time and of course the stories were about frogs. She is probly the youngest baby there and is so well behaved for her age! Jeff is off work early tonight and I made tacos! The picture is Kayla taking each bib off her chair walking it over to us and wanting us to put it on her.. so we did. I think she got up to 9 before she ran out of bibs on the chair, LOL!

February 4th

Had the day off work! Got to give Kayla a bath tonight and she is doing relly well on brushing her teeth. She looks so grown up.

February 3rd

Jeff finally got my beadboard wall up!! YEAH! We had removed some cabinets from this wall and there was really no way to repair it so this was our fix. I know it looks like there is a huge seam there, but I fixed it with some clay stuff (dry wall mud or something) and you cant tell anymore. And in the background you can see the trashed living room from Kayla super-plaing that day.

February 2nd

Since my mom is gone Jeff is staying home on Tuesdays now to watch Kayla. This is what she learned... you can play guitar while riding turtle!

February 1st

Mommy and Me had a get to gether at Fun Run today. Sadie meet me up there with her girls and the kiddos got some energy out. The toddler room was closed so I was kind of upset, but Kayla made do with what ther was and had fun anyways.

January 30th

Well my parents are now in bright sunny Florida... and I had to go to work. Kayla didnt sleep well last night and when she woke up from her very short nap this moring she was still cranky and fell asleep sitting up on the couch =)

January 29th

Well I have been blog-slacking lately and havent posted in a few days. I have today off work and Kayla and I just messed around. My mom leaves for Florida tomorrow. We are going over there to get the luggage to start packing for us to go down there! and as always we went to Ranch Grande.

January 26th

Today is my birthday and I had to work. I have mostly already celebrated it with my parents and Jeff, but Sue at work bought pizza for my birthday! Like every Tuesday my mom came over to watch Kayla and it looks like they have been doing a lot of practicing on using a spoon.

Here is my lunch. Tomorrow I start watching my weight, I need to drop a few before I start looking for my wedding dress and drop a few more before I want my picture taken that much!

January 23rd

Well Terry and Tammy didnt end up comming down to see us tonight; therefore, I didnt get the guest room completed. Jeff and I did end up going out to eat just the 3 of us. We went to Olive Garden and I now have a new favorite wine. I had to stop at Clnique to get my usual soap and got this cute bag (in picture) that Kayla also liked... I didnt get to see what was in it until later that night when she would let me have it back!

January 22nd

Jeff and I both had a friday off! That NEVER happens. We lounged around after my mom dropped Kayla off this morning and then decided that since we have company comming for the night tomorrow we should get the guest room ready. We headed out to NFM to check out a desk to finish the room. Kayla got to ride in the car cart! She wasnt really impressed - she liked pushing it better =) We were succesful, tomorrow I will post a pic of the finished room.

January 21st

We had a busy but fun Thursday. Kayla and I went to our first Mommy and Me meeting this moring. Kayla did great and loved playing with all the other kids. No fear of strangers here! My mom came over to hang with us and we got the basement cleared out and it is acutally a room now! Kayla dug out her monkey leash I got her yesterday for our trip to Florida in Febuary, and no I didnt make her wear it to our meeting =P. She loves wearing it though so thats good, guess this will just get her ready for the trip! She just wanted to walk around the house with it on all day. Kayla is going over to Grandmas to have a sleepover tonight while Jeff and I go to see Avitar in 3D. YEAH!!

January 20th

Well you cant really tell from this picture, but Kayla learned how to stomp her feet and twirl around in a circle. Thsi is her semi action shot of her stomping.

January 19th

Came up to Kayla's room to check on her since she had been being really quiet, she was sitting in her chair looking out the window like an old lady! Haha, thats defiantly not what I expected to find. And dont worry - I was right down the hall about 4 ft putting the laundry away and she was only alone in her room like 5 min =)

January 18th

Well I still have not gotten the hang of taking a relevant picture for each day because today we went out to eat with my parents to a Brizillian steakhouse and I forgot to take a picture of us there. I even brought my camera. This is a picture of Kayla being super sleepy becaue after not taking a nap all day she decided to stay up until 9:30pm - she had been rubbing her sleepy eyes since 6:00pm.

Staring to actually decorate our living room. I got these stars at Gordmans really cheap and finally got them hung on the wall and LOVE them!

January 16th

Kayla loves playing in the curtains. She wraps herself up in them and then peeks out, flings them out really far and then runs behind them to get to the window. I caught this picture and she had such a silly look on her face I had to post it.

January 15th

Got so tired of not having a clock in the living room that I went and bought one. Kayla thought the box would be fun, and the styrofoam even more fun.

January 14th

Emme loves laying by the back door on sunny days. Kayla decided to join her - Emma usually dosent really like Kayla, but Kayla just sat there trying to five Emma her toy. Just thought this was such a sweet picture.

I found a new way to get Kayla's picture! I have to let her chase me around the couch like we normaly do, but with the camera, stop, turn, and snap a picture.

I had to work today, but while on break I went to the library to pick up my book. When I was there I decided to check out the kids section. It was AWESOME! I got Kayla 3 new books to check out. She was sooo excited and pulled them right out of the bag and started "reading" them.

January 8th

They forced me to get my TB test at work today... I keep telling them I am allergic to the junk in it and it makes my arm all red and tender, but they dont listen. This was only 6 hrs after getting it! I always end up being negative for TB after the 72 hours. oh yea and they always make you get it on your birthday month, so Happy Freakin' Birthday to me from your friends at Employee Health.

January 7th

This is my Christmas Book I have been scrapin' together. I got 4 whole pages done tonight! My mom came and picked up Kayla at 5pm to spend the night at her house because Jeff and I both had to work at 6am. Jeff was at work and the house was very empty and lonely =( - but I WAS NOT bored. Got tons of stuff done (laundry, painting, scrapin', cleaning, organizing, etc)!!

January 6th

"Hey look mom, the gate is down!" - Her favorite thing to do is go up the stairs and throw everything off the bottom shelf in the closet down the stairs.
Kayla took an early bath and then wanted to go to bed early. Its only 8pm and I have no idea what to do with the rest of my night. Not sure if its a growth spurt or if the early bath got her off schedule.
More snow... but we didn't need another picture of that =)

January 5th

A picture of Kayla's Room because this is the 3rd night in a row that she has slept 9-10 hours straight!!! After the last 3 weeks of waking all night and ending up in bed with us this is AWESOME! Jeff and I are both off to work this evening and Grandma is on her way over to watch Kayla.

January 4th

My mom came over to hang out with us for a little bit. Got to get started on scraping My Christmas Book together since she occupied Kayla for about an hour. They were doing the dishes in this picture. Kayla is such a super helper - usually she is sitting in the dishwasher on the door.

January 3rd

Well, it snowed again...
As many of you know I have been having a very hard time getting around with my new Mazda CX-7. I was almost in tears trying to get out of the neighborhood to get work today. Hard to believe but Jeff's Civic gets around better than my SUV.

January 2nd

Saturday morning was a typical one for us. Jeff was at work while Kayla and I ate breakfast and got ready for the rest of the day. Only difference today was Kayla thought she needed to eat breakfast with her sutffed dog "Pipper".

January 1st

This picture was actualy taken from the day before, but the first flew by so fast. I had to work and had not planned on doing this project yet.
Kayla and I went to visit Melanie and her family at Chuck E. Cheese. Her little boy was turning 2. I also got to see her new addition Lilly at only 3 weeks old! I cant remember anymore what it is like to have a baby only 7 lbs. My uterus tugged a little at me, but we just arent ready to add any more additions to our family. Maybe in a year or two =).
Kayla LOVED Chuck E. Cheese. She couldnt really play any of the games, but liked watching all the activity and other kids and lights, etc. She did ride the little car that takes your picture and enjoyed it.

I have decided to take a picture every day for the year of 2010 and post it on my blog. Majority of the will be Kayla, the rest is up to what the day has planned for us as a family!
